A Snowy Winter Engagement Session in Rhode Island

Winters here in New England can be “snow” much fun! When Sara expressed that she wanted to have her engagement session on freshly fallen snow, I was definitely game! We couldn’t set a date and had to just play it by ear and wait for the weather to do it’s thing! We both saw a forecast coming in for a few inches on a Saturday and thankfully because it was winter I wasn’t booked so we set a date. Well, the clouds delivered the most perfect snowfall and some flakes were still flying as we walked around Roger Williams Park. It was definitely a shorter session with some breaks to bundle up and get warm, but these two definitley were great sports and the cold didn’t seem to bother any of us!

A modern romantic wedding done on a farm where horses and other animals roam, is a quintessential Fall wedding in New England and can be done just as stylishly as a mansion affair. Pomositticut Farm in Hudson, Massachusetts is tucked away on a winding country road where the Fall leaves create a canopy through the woods. Fall in New England is a magical time and the perfect time of year for weddings. With gorgeous floral design from Alexa Gallishaw Florals and the perfect calligraphy details from Lumos Calligraphy, a New England girl at heart would swoon over this chic set up among the peak of changing leaves. Oh, and did I mention Moose the puppy?! Fur babies are always welcome in front of my camera! While it’s our busiest season, we always have time for a little creative collaboration to make some magical Fall inspiration for any couple planning for next season!

Charter Oak Country Club Wedding | Hudson Massachusetts | Haley + A.J.

Good morning friends, do I have a special wedding to share with you today!

Haley and A.J.’s wedding was the perfect day to kick off our Fall season. It was on a beautiful day where the rain stayed perfectly south of Charter Oak Country Club so Haley and A.J. could have the best day ever! A girl after my own heart with pastel florals and details, to their adorable customized golf balls (since they are avid golfers), to the smiles and love from their family and friends.

Haley’s father had tears of joy in his eyes as he welcomed his new son to his family, a moment he had been waiting a long time for. His smile lit up the entire room, bringing those tears of joy to everyone else who was there to celebrate the union. Haley’s father said that, while Haley taught figure skating that she should never date a hockey player. Well they met while he coached and played hockey and her Dad got a good laugh out of how perfect they are for one another as he welcomed A.J. to the family and everyone celebrated their love!

Haley and A.J. you two are definitely something special and I am so thrilled to have captured your wedding day, and I loved getting to spend more time with the two of you as you celebrate your love! I will always remember being in the car with you guys, freezing after our super fun engagement session, talking about how bad we all wanted pizza and beer! I hope you love these memories as much as I did capturing them!

The Bohlin Newport Wedding | Cassi + Mike | Rhode Island Wedding Photographer

On the lovliest of June days, Cassi and Mike tied the knot at Holy Name Church in New Bedford, followed by a seaside reception at The Bohlin in Newport! What better backdrop for a wedding than views of the Newport Bridge and harbor, as well as the feeling of love in the air. The way Mike looked at Cassi all day, the tears of joy, and the beautiful connections between family and friends are what makes weddings so special. From the florals by Carlone's, the amazing looking cake, and the sparkly details of the table numbers, this is sure to be one happily ever after! I was excited to work with Peter and his team from Amylon Productions, they were so considerate and easy to team up with for those must have shots!

Newport Harbor Hotel Wedding | Castle Hill Lighthouse Wedding | Victoria + Brandon | Rhode Island Wedding Photographer

On the most beautiful Spring day in April, in the lovely seaside town of Newport, Victoria and Brandon tied the knot! The day was warm and sunny and Victoria looked stunning in her blush shimmering dress. These two High School sweethearts had their first look at one of my favorite locations, the Castle Hill Lighthouse and a seaside ceremony at the Newport Harbor Hotel. We had the perfect backdrop for their nautical theme, and I wish nothing but the best to these lovebirds as they journey into their marriage adventure!

Winter Engagement Session | Lincoln Woods Rhode Island | Ashley and Yi-Shan

Winter is the time of year when we New Englanders still drink our ice coffee, but hunker down when the snow hits unless we really have somewhere to go (for the most part anyway). We had a few days of absolute frigid cold a few weeks ago, but these Texas ladies wanted a snow filled engagement session since their wedding is taking place in warm, sunny Texas, so we had to go out and play! They chose Lincoln Woods State Park for its scenic woodland views, and the fact that it looks lovely snow covered. They glammed it up and rocked the cold, congratulations ladies!

Moore State Park Engagement | Boston Wedding Photographer | Jenna and Ethan

I absolutely love how adventurous Jenna and Ethan are! Not only did they choose a gorgeous location for their Fall engagement session, and dress to a T, but they love hiking and doing things outdoors and had not problem galavanting through the woods with me. I even got a little lost at first because I haven't been to this park in a few years and totally got thrown off! However walking through the woods in a gown and a suite did not phase these two and we had a great time. I can't wait for their wedding in 2018 and to capture more of their moments!
